Vette suspension

Has any one put vette front suspension under one of our trucks? I may have one from an 85 and thought it might be cool. I could figure it out but if one of you have already done it I can learn from your doings.

it can be done, here`s a pic of a 300Z rear susp. on one of our trucks. the guy said it was alot of work.

I bought a 85 vette parts car for the suspenion. I had planed to install the front and rear into my 67 C-10 swb fleetside but have decided to build it back more stock since my grampaw bought it new. I looked at a frame from Progressive Automotive in Baltimore Ohio they have pics of a blazer on the web site and was building a 65 C-10 that was the frame I looked at. Nice stuff I really liked the front but seen a cleaner rear install in a old Truckin mag. I still plan on using the vette suspension under a 67-72 C-10 maybe a blazer or a crew cab.

Thanks. I think the original cross member might work though. I will have to do some mesuring.

well looks like you will be the first, then you'll be the expert on this the next time someone else wants to tackle a project like that, but man that 300z setup is complicated i respect whoever fabbed that up that setup

I think using the original crossmember would be more work than making a new one. A new one would be lighter also so if the point of installing the vette susp. was for performance handling and braking then you would want to lose that extra weight. If you go to the Progessive automotive site go down the page to (customers cars aka hot rides) then go to (1962 chevy "corvette" pickup) or to (1972 chevy blazer)

Check out FlatOut Engineering! They Build front and rear Xmembers and bracketry to use , I believe C-4,C-5 susp.

The original vette crosmember is actualy verry light. I like the new one better though.

Fatmans MII bolt-in crossmember kit w/R&P steering, tubular arms, & coil-overs should knock some weight off that front end & your wallet .
