Good byes

Well at least to a few trucks and cars, local yard is stacking for the crusher, so they will be gone.
The 70 gray 3/4T flat bed did donate a complete 4 sp setup (trans/hi-hump/shifter/clutch linkage/cross member/drive shaft) to possible usage in my panel.
GMC also had a few items pulled, under hood air box, auto shifter linkage, cargo light switch, visor clips, vent shades)
I know the 1 ton has been there a while, so I think it will be crushed also.
Even took a few pictures of some f**ds that will soon be gone.

Nice collection...that 70 inner grille isn't any good? Too Bad but you did get some good parts off them.

The one in the blue one ton was cracked above the "L", and I think in a few other places. I will look again Friday or this weekend if it is still there.

shortymac83
He has a few others, I took a few pic's of them when I was there this afternoon, looking to see if I missed any thing. Will post them Friday. Only thing I got today was a 4 speed shifter knob out of one of the buses. Same size/pattern as the one I got out of the 3/4T, but the guy I deal with was not there so I had to pay his son $2 for it.

All that American steel will likely end up in some place like China and come back to us in toys or repo body parts. Always a sad day to see them go to the crusher.

In that first set on the glove box door picture: "J70 - Hydro Brake Booster"... I wonder what that looks like!

I've seen hydroboosts... I've just never seen one on one of these trucks. Is it the same as the newer ones (73-87)?

grab those overloader springs on the 4sp donor - on the parts board they're worth 50 bucks or so

I've got one set put back for me, and I started to get these but the PO welded blocks on the bumper plates, so I knew it would not be a complete set. The truck was orange and glove box door has "special paint" so I think it may have been a state truck at one time, so I'm sure they have been well used.

67ChevyRedneck
few more for you, some rust in the bottom of the doors and front fenders, side bed damage was from the fork lift from the looks of it. First 3 are from the same truck as above. Others were to keep the f**ds together...

Most of these are on the other side of the yard, but once he starts crushing, I think they will go to.

Some where close to Decater then? I worked there a few years back on the grain elevators right next to the river, (Tenn. River? )

To bad to see it all go to the crusher. I'm sure there's parts there we could all use.

Scared me there. I thought you were gone.
The scrap can go to China and come back as a toy. Would not be the same if you went to China and came back as a toy. Maybe Deb would disagree.
