That is to say WITHOUT breaking them! I don't care about the rubber, it's old. I tried using a fillet knife once on a front window and it took two hours and at the very end it cracked anyway. Who has a better way?

The back is a little easier. I used a couple of putty knives and a bunch of popcicle sticks to pull mine working it from one side around the end of the glass until it was free. I saved the rubber too and reused it on another truck. It was a 15 minute removal at best and a 5 minute install. I would not cut the rubber seal as some suggest...you just don't need to and...if is not cracked...Armorall will bring it back to like new!

The rear glass is tempered. It won't break like the windshield will. You can lay in the seat and put your feet on the corner of the back window and push it out. Have someone outside to catch the window as it comes out.

I just cut a rear window out of a truck in the junkyard and it only took about 10 minutes tops. (first time doing this too)

As long as you don't need the gasket, that's the way I'd do it.

I use about 4 screwdrivers, from the inside pry down on rubber, start in middle top and work to the corner and down, then got back to the middle top and go the other way, 5-10 min tops.

I always use a razor utility knife, takes less than 5 minutes and there's no struggle. I remove the windshields the same way, haven't broken one yet.

There is a trick with a piece of rope or sash cord, but it's been too long since I saw it to describe it. Anyone familiar with this method?

the rope is for putting the new window in!

It's easy. I called West End Glass and they came out and removed the old window and installed the split window. Didn't get any glue on me and I just reached down into now shallow pockets and checked out their grin.

Just cut the window gasket with a utility knife. Cut from the inside of the cab around the center of the exposed gasket. DON'T pry on anything if you want to save the glass. Once you've cut the gasket the window will push out very easily. Process is the same with front or rear windows. Haven't broken one yet.

I cut from the outside when I did it and it worked good. Now that I've done one, I can do the next one in 5 minutes tops!
