WTB 67-72 in Texas

I am looking for a good 67-72 running truck. Prefer fleetside short box.
I am in West Texas but willing to travel a short way for the right truck.

Welcome,
You have come to the right place.
If you don't find it here then you can at least get a good understanding of what to look or lookout for.
Maybe a little more detail and a price range.
Are you talking West Texas the town near Waco or out near Odessa?

I am actually IN Odessa! Thanks for the welcome, I look forward to reading up on this stuff. I have the bug for an old Chevy truck.

Here's a project near you. It's obviously not running, but it looks like it could be pretty nice when put back together:

72 super cheyenne in beaumont

we have a 72 lwb super in beaumont.it's a 350/350 truck.it needs rocker panels and has rust around front windshield.the truck is in great running shape.no smoking or knocking;it also shifts great.it has an aftermarket a/c setup.oh,the tailgate has a dent.we've driven the truck to rosharon south of houston pulling a trailer to pick up a gremlin.it had no problems going there and back.asking 2200 but very negotiable.409-842-3948 from 10-4: 5-10pm ask for willard.

Houston

I have a 70 longbed forsale in HOUSTON....but it's at the paint shop right now so i wont have pictures till it's done. Should be ready in about 2 weeks....Has a 305 H.O. , headers w/ flowmasters ,engine has aluminum air cleaner and valve covers(not that cheap chrome stuff) new Holley carb(polished) air conditioning/Heater(works very good), dual fans on 4 core radiator....Everywhere I go in it I have people stopping me to ask about it and if it's forsale or not....I just decided to sale her so now she's getting a fresh-up at the paint shop. I wouldn't hesitate at all to get in her and drive across the state or further....great reliable truck....starts with just a bump of the key. You can drive it to work all week then on Friday night touch her up with a little Armor-All and go to the local car show.

Sorry.....forgot the most important part....$7000 firm.....also forgot to mention that the truck has been lowered 5 inches from factory so it has a California rake to it.

Uh oh, I think someone got his feelings hurt that I didn't want his truck. It's a good looking truck man, I never said a negative word, so no need to come into my thread being negative towards me.

i didn't get my feelings hurt, your description of what you want and what you are willing to pay was pretty vague, so i was just letting him know.
