cab spoilers option

Does anyone remember seeing GMCs in the 76 to 79 year models with front air dam and cab spoilers from the factory? I know of 1 such truck. It also came with 275/60/15 Goodyears all round. It may have been part of a package but this truck had no decals or badging to distenquish it from any other. Not that I want one myself but I just remembered it.

I don't know the year, but a girl at my high school had a silver one. It had an odd stripe kit that was purple orange and blue, or something like that. It had a chin spoiler and a spoiler on the back of the cab. I don't know anything about it. It could have been factory, or it might have been a dealer option or a JC Whhitney kind of thing.

Thumbs up cab spoilers option

Ken, is there anything you DON'T have a pic of? LOL
The year was 79 alright but the truck I remember seeing wasn't this amarillo package. It was a solid white GMC with the cab spoiler and front air dam, the BFG tires and Sierra type trim. No decals. I thought the truck was a big block but I'm probably wrong on that. It was a long time ago. Don't know why I thought of it again but I haven't, until now, seen any pics of them on any forums either. Small production I guess. I don't guess anyone has incorporated the cab spoiler into any customs?
thanks Ken.

That Amarillo on the cover is sharp. I like a bit more chrome but it is definately a looker.

I checked into those stripe kits back in the eighties. They were available in several color combos. I almost bought one for my 78 step.

Boog, check out my special editions page, there are several pics in there of trucks with the front air dams, cab spoilers, or both.

http://www.73-87.com/Special_Edition...l_Editions.htm

Ken got the pic from me...he cheated.

EDIT: Here is Joes website (Elgracho), he has some in there as well.
