I tryed and tryed to find one but came to no avail, if anyone has pics of them or is willing to sell let me know! I was trying to find a 71-72 SWB Fleet model..I have heard they are hard to come by? You help and comments are appreciated!

Kenny,
The model I have is a 1/25th scale. AMT/Ertl made it and it's a 1972 long bed 2wd. I made mine a 4x4 to look like my truck. I think I bought it at Wal-Mart, shouldn't be too tough to find. Good Luck! Last edited by Slick71; 05-29-2002 at 11:54 PM. |

You can also get a '72 GMC Short-Step through Chevy Duty. The model is discontinued, so the price is pretty high at $20. The model box says the engine is a 350, but it looks a awful lot like a 402 to me....

I don't have any pics yet, but I'm building a 72 short step K-10 from 4 different kits, all of which were purchased a few years back at wally world. Sometimes I see the 67-72 models at wal-mart, and I see them alot on ebay, you might check there, sometimes the prices are pretty reasonable.

Thanks for the help, Looks like I'll have to head down to my local WalMart or HobbyStore to see what i can find, I guess I had the impression that all the kits of 67-72's were discontinued! Nice LWB 4X4, reminds me of the pullers I see at the tractor/truck pulls here in Oregon every year! Good Job
Thanks again guys, Kenny

A little late with this, but I figured I'd try and post a picture of what my truck will (hopefully) look like when finished. I built this from the Chevy Long Bed and GMC Stepside models combined.

Not sure how many 67-72 models may still be made but the yellow (72)? truck is discontinued. I tried to order this one from the hobby shop but they said it was discontinued. Someone may make different ones now but I have never seen them in this one horse town. I do have a moster truck type blazer that I got years ago.
