help removing tailgate trim section

Im taking my Jimmy to get painted tomorrow and I want to remove the large silver tailgate section but Im not sure how it fastens to the gate....HELP!!!

Im talking about the piece that has the chevrolet on it like in this pic

You need to remove the access panel on the inside of the tailgate and have the window up. Once you do that you will see a series of about 10 studs with nuts on them coming from the outside of the tailgate. Remove the nts and the trim will fall off. If your going to reuse it simply tape it up before you remove the nuts or just have someone hold it for you.

Thanks for the help, I was hoping it was just glued on. I guess I have to reuse it otherwise I gotta fill in the holes....$$
