Master cylinder??
Mine is leaking something bad and I need to get a new one. Where would be the best place to get one?
Also, There's a tube coming out of my Carb and running into the cylinder. I'm guessing it's a "vacuum assist" type of unit? Can someone tell me what kind I have and what options I might have in replacing or switching out or ??? Also, My starter is starting to go, anyone got a good source for these too? By the way, It's a '77 350, 4-barrel with a 350 tranny, if that helps. Thanks Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Any local chain parts store will have the master cylinder. Usually under 20 bucks.

Thanks Tex. I'm still wondering if the kind of Master cylinder I have is all that common. I've only seen a few of the "Vacuum" type and wasn't sure if they're common.
Is there a number I should try to find on the cylinder or just tell them what year motor I have?

The engine wont matter. Power brakes verses manual brakes wont mater either. The parts guy will tell you it matters, but you can prove him wrong by tellin him to look at the part numbers for both aplications.
power brakes is a common option. |

Got my friends @ Autozone, asked for a master cylinder for a 77 1/2 ton Chevy pickup with power brakes (like TX said under $20)
