lwb bed weight
how much does just a long wheel base bed with a steel floor weigh does anyone know im planning on pulling mine off tomorrow and need to know how many people i need i really need to know the weight or even a close ball park

If you got 4 relatively strong guys it should be ok. Just make sure you got lots of room, & a plan on where it's gonna go, and / or what your gonna rest it on. More people would be good. Last time I helped lift one there wrere 3 of us, 2 strong as ox's and me. I'm 150 soaking wet, but I can lift my weight if I have to. Make sure & have your wires unhooked, and if you can take the tires off ( make sure your truck is WELL supported) it makes is easier. If you can gather a crowed it's a good idea. Less strain per person, & it only takes a few seconds.. Be careful & good luck. PS: I don't know the weight, but it's the awkwardness thats the problem with those things

most likely it will be me and my buddy and my brother im no little guy and neither is my buddy my brother will be stabilizing. i was wondering exact weight me and my buddy have lifted well over 500lbs alone so i just wanted to know what we were in for

3 of us put the bed on my 71.

1970 K25, 8' stepside bed 350/465/205 44 up front, 60 in the rear 4.10s rolling on 33" Dunlop MTs 1986 K5, 350/465/208 Dana 60/14 bolt from a cucv 36" Super Swampers TSL/SX 1983 K20 w/ CUCV axles, 350/700R4/208 sitting on 37" Goodyears 1986 M1031 6.2 diesel, TH400/NP205 locker in the rear and a LS in the front, all stock for now..... 1986 K30, 350/400/205 dana 60 and 14 bolt. I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone. 1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed. 1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm |
