It's not what you buy, it's what you build!!

i have to agree with your signature though race, its not what you buy its what you build. i say go for it if you want to. you will need shackle mounts, front springs, front axle, front driveshaft, 4x4 transmission, transfer case, probably rear driveshaft, steering componets (tie rods, pitman arm, drag link, etc) an dthats al i can think of right now thats different

Talking

don't forget about the cab

it must by large hump or put a body lift on it

i did a simular conversion and it makes you alot more proud of what you've built, but it is a pain in the neck

word of advice write down all info of donor trucks so you know what to tell them when you go to the parts store

the only way to do it is basically by killing one 67-74 4x4 to build a 67-72 4x2 into a 4x4, might as well use the donor 4x4 chassis.. cuz thats what youre gonna need in order to convert a 4x2 chassis into a 4x4, plus youll habve to drill holes in fron frame for front hanger bolts behind front wheels with a holesaw bit around 2" diameter, nothing shares at all, not even radiator support mounting brackets
