Did I do OK?

I found this truck about 3 weeks ago but did not know much about it. Its a 1972 custom deluxe with the highlander package on it. I have been on here and have gotten alot of good information. You all helped my figure out that its a Highlander. In those coversations I found no one had seen a Highlander with yellow interior. With all of your help I got my wife convinced is was worth the $1250 I paid for it. It has 92k miles and appears to be mostly original. I will be checking numbers to confirm. Let me know what you all think. I will be keeping this one all original. I am having dtlily help me out on posting some pics on here so hope they get attached.

Or if anyone else can help post my pics let me know?
Pics are down in the thread thanks to 68w/sbc406

Well, I can't tell from the pics how rusty it may or may not be, but I'd say it's worth considerably more than $1250. If it's not very rusted, I'd put it in the $3-4000 category with that equipment--maybe more. If it wasn't a LWB, I'd be after you to sell it to me!

Nice truck. I would say you got a good deal. Now for the fun. Driving and revitalizing it.

The great thing about it is that it looks completely unmolested. Hard to find one that some uneducated jerk hasn't switched the carburetor, slapped on a chinese chrome air cleaner or thrown part of the A/C away because it quit working!

You are correct about that the guy I bought it from says that everything works including A/C. I have not had time to really get to drive it and make it all in good shape.

Is the master cylinder leaking or did someone overfill it?

From what I have found and been told on here the 1Y6820 is the code for highlander. There were 3 different levels A-C if you look on the paper mine is a C which has all the options for the highlander. The only thing I could not find with the truck was the hub caps. They are pretty ugly anyway but it would of been nice to have them.

Dane, sorry I couldn't post those pics, I had to leave for the g-friends for dinner and sex before I got the pics in my e-mail.

Looks like one nice truck to restore, and it won't have you running around looking for parts. This is the first yellow Highlander I've had a chance to see, and it definately grows on ya! Congrats on the rare find, at a great price!!

Good deal! Looks similar to mine, and the seat looks exactly like mine. I think they fade that color from an orangish yellow, or at least mine did.
