Quick ?? on Xmember drop

Sorry guys, sure this has been answered. But since no search.....

Can you do a 1.25 inch crossmember drop with no steering shaft interference? If not what is the furthest down I can go.

Thanks,
Ryan

Not to hijack your thread but is it better to c-section or chop the whole crossmember? Thanks

I'm going to chop the whole crossmember, because it shouldn't mess with the engine mounts. But I don't know how far you can go with no steering interference.

At 1.25 you should not have any problem. If you have some time check out the crossmember thread

The only "interference" you will have is the front of the crossmember where centerlink is.

Chopping is the best method in my opinion, but I am biased.
Might want to check this thread also. This is the Crossmember I dropped for XXL and his installation progress.

Do this and you'll be happy. Sure, it's a little bit of work with the steering, but it's only money/time.

I've read all the corssmember related topics, I just didn't remember it being stated that 1.25 wouldn't interfere, but I figured it wouldn't cause thats what Turners would do.
