New to the forum, question on 91 grill update

This question has probably been answered before but I'm a new member and I couldn't find anything in the search. I am restoring an 88 suburban with a 454. I really like the looks of the 91 GMC four headlight grill setup. The problem I'm running into is that if I try to order a new core support the footnote always says except 7.5L, or 454,.Chevrolet says they are discontinued. Has anyone put one of the kits that you can buy to update the grill on an early suburban or pickup with a 454. Do I have to find a suburban or pickup, with a 454, in a junk yard to get the core support. I'm sure it has something to do with the size of the radiator. I would appreciate any help.

Thanks

yes due to the size it is better to get the junk yard core support and shtrap that in
but i dont see why the front grill/headlight mounts wont just bolt up to the older one, if i remember right (i could be wrong) they used very similar mounts... if it is way off then time for the whole core supprt

In the past 30 years about 90% of Fords are still on the road, the other 10% made it home.

i saw that site around the time i joined this site when soemone had a similar question about a late 70s truck wanting early 90s front clip

edit: i posted a question at my post HERE: Pics of my 91 burb
basically he put the dual headlight setup in his (the site you just mentioned) yet my 91 r2500 has the single stock headlights.. i am wondering what the reasoning is behind how most 89-91 have the dual and some the single setup???
