What's the story with your ordering disclaimer? |

It just makes it easier on us. As much as we all would like to believe that all 10 bolts are the same and all 12 bolts are the same and so on through all the different type of rear differentials. They're not.
So we like to make sure that the customer is going to get the right kit for his axle. If we haven't been contacted to reassure what axle year or type they have. We wouldn't send a kit untill we have talked with them. If we couldn't contact them or hear from them. We would fully refund their money. It just saves people on both sides. We don't send a kit that doesn't work, and they don't get upset that the kit doesn't work.. For example on our axle identification page, you will see a picutre showing the fact that there is over 23 differnt variations of the dana 60 and 70.. Also 14 bolts for another example change from pressed on drums to slide on.But we may get someone who orders a 14 bolt kit but doesn't realize the difference As simple as some other web sites make it sound.example "This bracket will work with this axle...yadda yadda" not true. we have found in many instances what we believed would work, Didn't, because of a slight variation.. Plus we like to hear from customers. We are working on getting a toll free number. to make it easier for calling us.. Thanks for asking and hope this help explain it.

Eaton HO72?
drink2mny,
I've got a question for you regarding disk conversions. Is it true that the Eaton HO72 disk brake brackets and spacers are the same as a 14 Bolt Full Floater disk brake bracket and spacer? If you don't know the answer, could you ask your boss at Blackbirds please? I think this info would help a lot of us members and probably bring some sales to your company. Thanks, 72longbed |

Yes they are the same. You will notice they are both the same price..
The only difference is If you have 1/2 lug studs you will need to drill out your hub and install 9/16 studs before this will be a Direct bolt on. We came across this little bit of info on Budweis's truck..

Sorry, I don't have a pic of the 12 bolt setup.
As for calipers, don't quote ( and I will check with Blackbirds in the morning) I believe they are late 80's cadillac calipers for ebrake. But I will recheck Also for the rotor, We don't sell just the brackets. Our brackets are matched to rotors we use. If a person were to buy a kit we would be glad to let you know what rotors we use.. We do that because of competition. Also these rotors are already turned in the center for your axle flange.. And if a person were to figure out which rotor to use they would still need a machind shop to turn then out... Thank you for the questions guys and I hope my explinatitions are good..
