steering dead spot
is there an easy/free way to get rid of the dead spot in the wheel. its starting to get annoying. i mean it still drives just fine. it just bugs me

what do you mean by a dead spot?? how you can seem to wiggle the wheel a little while going straight??
i've replaced my whole front end steering components EXCEPT the steering box itself and I still have one. I'm thinking about replacing that as well, but was curious if that would really fix it. BTW, I have an '89 as well. |

There are lots of reasons but my loose or "dead spot" was cured with a new center drag link. The joint that sticks up to connect the tie rods was worn out.

ok, but if I've replaced every other part, what are the "lot of reasons" that are left?? anything besides the steering box? how tight should it be?? like a new truck??
do you mean the pittman arm?? |
