Advise from Tenn Members
I was hoping some of the Tennessee members could help me out, my wife and I are looking at relocating to east Tennessee(around Harriman). I drive my 72 every day and was wondering how my truck would hold up against rust out there. Do any of you guys drive your trucks year round? What do you do to keep the rust at bay? Do I need to get a beater for a driver? I don't want to do that if I don't have to. Thanks.

What a beutiful part of Tenn you will be moving to. You'll be fairly close to some cool board members, and don't forget Tim Christian (Christians Classics) is close too. I spent some time out there with a company from Spring City (Just south of Harriman toward Dayton). I would say you would be fine for about 9 months a year. The snow doesn't stay on the ground long either. It might snow a couple inches one day, then be back in the 40's the next day. Good luck on the move, and I'm jealous, I want to live in that area myself.

East Tn.
I have lived in several states,[ including colorado,] The weather here in east Tn. is great. We do get a little snow, and they do salt the roads, but not that much.
I see older vehicles being driven year round as daily drivers and they look pretty good. Welcome DR67
