How Does This Happen?

Well what started as changing the oilpan gasket turned in to a complete make over. You know how it goes one thing lead to another so I pulled the motor out repainted it and added new alum. valve covers & breather / alum. pulleys/ alum. water pump/ alum. timing chain cover/ EDEL. intake w/the PEMASTAR finish/ alum. air cleaner/ new harmonic balancer/ alum.water neck/ new chrome alt./ powdercoated all the brackets black/ new Dynomax ceramic coated headers/ all ARP s/s hardware.. What do you think?

Steering Wheel

What Brand name and model is your steering wheel? I have been thinking about a wood Le Carra wheel but am not sure but I do like how yours looks in your truck.

ALREADY GONE: the steering wheel is a GRANT collector edtion part # GRT1130. I've had for 7 years and have very happy with it.

As far as wifes go mine bought most of the parts for me for x-mas and my b-day, but she has never been sick of anything than more than this damn truck in her life , but I GUESS SHE LOVES HER MAN......

If this is what happens when you change a pan gasket I can't wait until you rebuild the motor. What happens when you wash it?

that's one helluva oil pan gasket job. Damn nice looking truck BTW. I'b buy you a plane ticket too, but all you'd have to do is set out to change the oil, I'd be curious to see how far you went with that.

The original question was: Why does this happen?

The answer: Because your addicted. Now suck it up, take another dose, and... don't it fell better to be in a support group that shares your addiction?

12 step my @ss, I wanna build these trucks!!!

Looks great. I know how you feel. My latest project started as a small block to big block swap and has ended with the truck being completely torn apart, painted and put back together. And I was one of those who said I would never, ever do something like that!

Thanks for the kind words. It was fun too go all out on the motor, I debated for awhile on it and I'm very happy with results! I've had this truck for alittle over 12 years and do not regret any of the time and money spent on it at all. Now I've got to figure out whats next on the list maybe new brakes will lead to a 3.5"/5" drop......

Thanks
John
