I can't decide which one I like better. Since there are no shortages of opinions on this board, let 'er rip.
This is the original Scottsdale:

This is 77 Silverado:

personally i like the woodgrain, i think it matches your brown rather well, but like you said, thats just MHO.

HELLO,,,my 2 cent's worth = the woodgrain looks nice with that combo,and also it takes my eye to the bezel away from the crack in dash if that makes any sense....

Leave it the way it is now with the silver. The woodgrain is too much brown at the same time. It needs a contrasting color to break up all the tones of yellow. Sorry I'm a color geek.

I would go with the wood as well it looks really good with the color setup as well as the steering wheel.
