Mounting Bumpers after body lift
I have a 72 Blazer with a 3" bodylift.I am wondering what the easiest way is to mount the bumpers back to the correct position.I have seen lots of pic,s of trucks that have a lift and the bumpers are at the right height.Appreciate any and all input, thanks.

Hi,
Are you talking about remounting the bumper so that it matches the body? Seems that you would want it to remain mounted in the stock area (aka the frame). ------------------ John Fabris john.fabris@autodesk.com 1967 C10 SWB FleetSide Web Page 1971 K5 Blazer 2WD (basket case, but give me two year or so.) |

I agree that the ugly gap needs to be covered some how. For the front I made up a prerunner type front bumper and then made a aluminum diamond plate splash guard that runs from the bottom of the radiator support down to the engine crossmember. It does a good job of covering up the body lift. For the rear, I welded up some new mounts. I just picked up some front bumper relocation brackets for a 73-up truck. Looking at them I don't think it would take much to get them to work. The problem would be the outer brackets.
