I have been told by shops that you need atleast 2 1/2" so they dont rub. Like a body lift of small suspension lift.

I think they will rub, but not completely sure. I believe you would need to do some major fender hacking or get a small lift or body lift.

the height is ok, but the width will kill you, if they are 33 12.50's. They will rub when you turn, and bend the heck out of your chrome trim around your wheel openings. I ran 285's and 295's on my 89 4X4, and had little trouble. The 285's measure out as 33 X 11.0 inches.

Good luck

to fit 33 x 12.50s on 15x10s on a 88+ truck, and no lift kit, you have only one other choice. hack the fenders. you MIGHT be able to get away with a 33 x 10.50 on a 15 x 8 rim and the right backspacing, but its doubtful.

You could put 2" add a leafs in the front and rear springs, that would give you enough and they are only like $55 a set. Also, if youwent with 15x8's instaed of 10's they would fit much better and give even more clearance.

89 trucks don't have front leaf springs without a solid axle conversion.
I hear people run 32x11.5's easily on unlifted trucks. BFG makes a 33x9.5"-15 in a/t and mud if you want the ground clearance.

BTW You can fit a 33x10.5"-15 tire on a 15x7" wheel. That'd make it almost half an inch narrower than if mounted on a 15x8".

DOH!!!, didnt even snap to the year.

You can crank your t-bars up to gain front height, or install the ford keys for a couple inches, then blocks or AAL in the rear or BL, but your not gonna fit 33's on an 89 without some kinda lift and still have the truck offroadable without trimming metal.

the 15 x 10s arent gonna cut it. that's where most of your problem lies. they're too wide.

Yeah, I think those 15 x 10s are still going to be too wide.

If you want a fat tire look, BFG makes a 325/60R-15 in all-terrain and mud terrain that is 30.5" tall and almost 13" wide. That tire might fit on an unlifted truck since it's about the same diameter as a stock tire. (Since it's an unusual size it'll cost you a little more than a 33/12.5-15)

Other companies also make short, fat mud tires like 29x11.5, 30x12.5 etc. If you want to run the 15x10 wheels you'll need a shorter, fat tire.

tried a 32x10,5-15 spare tire today and that was no problems...
but the rim was 15x8"

tried the 10" rim on without the tires and it was 4" out from the fender....
maby 8" is enough

i wanted 10" cuz i had a 75 blazer with 15x10s...but it seems the older ones have more space for wheels...

posting pics on stepside with spare tire and blazer 75 with 15x10

33s will fit real easy with a 3" body lift, as for being "offroadable", until you put a straight axle in the front, its not going to be very offroadable anyways. IFS was designed with one thing in mind, and that is on road handling.

good luck getting the beads seated. keeping them seated will be easy compared to getting them to seat in the first place. i wouldnt go any wider than 8" with a 10.50, 6" or 7" is probably a way better idea.
