Talking Tach Cluster Cleaned up pretty good (pictures)

hey guys,

here are some good pictures of that tach cluster i won on ebay, picked it up today. took it all a part and clean everything up. all the gauges are in very good shape. most are mint, tach is mint, very good shape all around. it does need a new bezel and i think im going to get a new lense also. it polished up ok with the stuff i had lying around. anyways its almost 11pm here and i think i might go out and install it. i really want to get rid of that old woodgrain non tach cluster. its making me sick to look at that all the time. hahaha. and get rid of the dirty old tach that is on my column. i have been wanting a tach cluster for a while now and finally found a decent one for a good price off ebay.

anyways here are the pictures,

Joel

ya its pretty bad, its cracked in a few places, and the chrome isnt the best. but it works for now. untill i get another bezel. there is a place out of the states that sells them for 26.00 someone told me. might have to order one. do you want one? if i can get a couple before i come up there. my brother is having a child soon so i could swing one over. and split the cost of shipping?

let me know what you think i might be coming up before they would get here tho.. will see. have you priced them out at bills??

I think I will get one from Bill midsummer. I really dont need to spend the money on one right now. I also know there are companys that make bezels and the fit is not good. If I get one form Bill and it does not fit good I can just cruze down there and swap for another one.

I think that woodrain looked pretty bad as well. The new cluster is much better.

Want to sell the old one?

New one looks good - New lenses are expensive - it's really easy to sand them out with a high-grit sandpaper (I think 3000 was suggested?), then take a buffing compound to them. Supposed to get them looking new in no time.

Mario,

i just checked with bill, he wants 90.00 cdn for one of those bezels. thats crazy, plus 10 shipping. then taxes.

thats a hair to much for me. he used to want 115.00 plus everything else.

thanks,

joel
