Wiper motor
do the 55-59's have an actual wiper motor? our 58 has a knob you turn to manually use the wipers. I haven't crawled under the dash to see if there is a motor there, but I was just curious

There is a motor there, could be a vacumn or electric mtor. If it is a Chevy truck it should be the same as a 58 Chevy car.

Yes the have a motor. Mine originally came with a vacuum motor and I was able to find an original electric motor.
If memory serves me correctly there is something different about the 58/59 electric motors from the 55 - 57.

Difference is in the mounting
Yes there is a difference in the 55-57 to the 58-9's. They are not interchangable. The under dash mount that is welded to the underside of the dash for the motor attachment is different as is the motor. My two cents worth.
