Need: Bushings for NP205 shift handle
1972 K20 with four speed manual and the 205 t-case. The t-case shifter rattles above 50 MPH (really annoying and loud). I tried putting some grease in, but just pours out the side.
Buddy said there may be a bushing for the handle? If not, any recommendations? Thanks, D.

I could not find replacement stock bushing anywhere. I had my buddy make me a new metal sleeve on the lathe and got off-the-shelf bushings from McMaster Carr. If you can find a later model adapter they use a different bolt that is still available.

I tried everything including "Factory" plastic bushings and they were still sloppy and my bolt continued to come loose. Finally I Went to ACE hardware with the shifter and the bolt. I found 2 bronze bushings which fit into the shifter hole and allowed the bolt to fit through perfect or maybe a little tightI may have sanded the inside slightly. When they when pushed together from both sides of the shifter piviot hole were a little long so I ground one of them down. The shifter is rock solid and has not come loose or rattled since 2002.
