after tach dash conversion amp guage doesn't work?
I installed a tach dash in my 74 that originally had a volt gauge but the new cluster has an amp gauge that doesn't work. Looks like the blk/wht wire and the black wire for this circuit are hooked up. One goes to the +bat terminal of the solenoid and the other goes to the junction block on the fire wall so all the harnesses must come equipped with the amp gauge wiring.
Anyone know what usually happens with this deal? I'm think about just putting my volt gauge back in. It just plugged right into the fuse block and ground with it's own harness. Thanks! |

The 74 originally came with an ammeter, so as long as the wiring is stock it should be pretty easy to figure out. On the firewall you will find two small fuses in the harness, check these. One near the brake booster, and the other usually is over the engine in that harness.
