bb balancer ?????

72 402 the balancer was junk so i threw it away.the parts place list 2. 1 for a 2brl and 1 for a 4 brl.is there a difference.mine was like the pic.ive look at a few 396 and they dont have the notch cutout at back.the intake was missing when i got it so i dont know if its 2 or 4 brl. but im going with a 4brl. thanks

The only difference I know of is in '72 there was a 400 4bbl (402 BBC) and a 400 2bbl (400 SBC). 2 different balancers.

make sure you get one for a BigBlock. not a 400 (it won't fit on the crank snout anyway)

396, 402, and 427 all use the same crank 3.76" stroke and are internally balanced. 454 however uses a 4" stroke crank and is externally balanced
