Disc brake swap on '67 half ton
I'm sure this has been asked before, but I'd like to change from drum to disc brakes on the front of my '67 1/2 ton. What other year spindles would work as a direct replacement. I'd rather buy used instead of spending the big bucks for a kit. I'd also like to stay with the 6 lug set-up instead of changing to 5 lug, but I'm not aware if chevrolet used a 6 lug disc from the factory. AP

I'm not an expert on this but I think you'll have to go 5 lug. I did a 70 and changed the whole suspension/The hard way! (used 71-72 parts) I found out later it's easier to drop the whole crosmember. The crosmember from a truck all the way to 1987 will bolt right in. Calipers and hoses are more plentifull for those (newer) years. I'm sure guys with more knowledge will respond. Seems I saw the 5 lug-6 lug question come up before? Maybe someone makes a 6 lug rotor??
