What tranny in '89

I am looking at a 1989 1500 2wd GMC Suburban, 350 TBI. It has an overdrive transmission and I am wondering which tranny should it be? When did they start with the 4l80e?
If it makes any difference it is a "trailwagons" conversion.

i think maybe 92 or 94?? that's (or is it the 4l60e??) the same tranny, but just electronically controller. the 700r4 you have just has lockup controlled by the computer. I rebuilt mine myself if you ever need more info... i'm no expert, but know a little bit from the rebuild.
