Update on my 78' Stepside!!

Well, so far I have the 2 /12 Inch Exhaust, Speakers, and getting the truck dependable enough for daily driving, I have added a few new components. Brownie(as everyone calls it) has gotten a new Edelbrock Performer 600cfm carb because the old one decided to spring about 5 leaks before the car show, guess I should of replaced that first after the 10 years of storage.....anyway I have valve covers and an air cleaner from billit specialties on order along with the polished bed strips, it should be done after that.

Here are some new pics in my yard, lol, the exhuast just happened to burn an "H" into the grass. I'll have pics of the engine compartment when I get the Billit pieces.

Maybe, different exhaust tips or turn downs (recessed under bumber/bed). And, bigger wheels. (I think you previously mentioned this.) Either way, it looks good.

Nice looking truck. Someday I'll have myself a nice paint job of the same color. I thought I saw your old truck on PDXforsale.com the other day, but its not listed there the other day. The asking price was $12K.

Very nice truck....the only thing I'd do is replace the wheels.

yeah, I was really just looking for someone who had an old blazer that they would trade......I currently have a deal in the works for a 72' 2wd right now, but not sure exactly whats gonna happen. lol....I have had several offers in my town, not that it really means anything without showing money(my opinion), for 10-11,000. The trucks still getting nicer so, I really can't tell you what's going to happen besides the engine compartment stuff.

Welcome to the club of "buy a new truck, replace the carb" I replaced a Holley 650 when I got my truck too. I have a Edel 600 now. Mine was in storage for like 10 years also. Lookin very clean. Only suggestion would be maybe some ralleys? I dunno, maybe someone can PS them on there. I dunno if big wheels would look right, its just got that beautiful classic vibe to it.

That is a BEAUTIFUL truck , I wouldn't change a thing, the rim and tire package is right for that era of customizing as well as the soft tonno cover. With all the cookie cutter trucks around now with all the GAUDY paint and Bling you got it right, well the only thing I would change would be the rear window, i'm not a fan of those sliders, i love the stock look with just a few mods to set it apart from the rest , great job.

umm... the rear bumper just looks similar to a front bumper but on the rear of the truck... buy a straight front bumper for this year truck, get a mount fabbed and there ya go. its close enough to match up
