WTB U-bolts for 68 GMC w/leaf springs - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I am looking for a full set of 4 u-bolts for my 68 GMC 1500. They measure 7 1/2-inches from u to end of threads and 2 1/4 to 2 5/16-inch between the sides. LMC has them, but $15.00 each is a little steep...

NAPA has them for about $8 each. Now be sure to take yours with you to the store along with the bottom bracket and maybe the short leaf to be sure. There are several with dimensions that are "close". Unfortunately I no long have the part# and they'll probably have to order them. Make sure they check universal fits in the book. For some reason my store didn't have much luck coming up with them listed for the truck.

BTW if you need anything for the springer let me know....I'm parting one out as we speak...69 GMC LWB 1500

Thanks, Stevonator. That was just the information that I was hoping to get. I have a NAPA store about 15 miles from me, so I will check them out. Seems like NAPA is a good source for a lot of things for these trucks.

Only thing better would be if someone had some collecting dust on the shelf...
