US body's 1 pc from clip, whats the quality?
I got into an accident today with my 71 chevy and my front end is wasted... no one was hurt(thank god) just a little shaken up. I was slowly converting the truck over to a drag truck (well very slowly on a college students budget) and my front clip had some rust and bondo in it..... i am looking at the US body's 1 piece front clip..... well when money comes in or is something happens.... I was wondering if any of you have had an experience with them and how was the quality of there parts?

just wondering how much was the shipping, i see you are in CA and they are in FL so i figure for me it will probly be a little less.... but if you wouldnt mind just giving me an idea of the shipping?

Be aware, fitment of fiberglass parts is a problem even from the most reputable companies. The parts tend to twist and/or distort as they cure. Be prepared to spend double-digit hours just making the front end fit right. Also be aware, fiberglass parts are notoriously wavy. If you want it to look great even up close, metal is the way to go. Be prepared to spend as AT LEAST as much time on body prep as you did on fitment just to make it look decent. I realize it's a drag druck (in progress) and up close appearance is secondary.
There are two ways to go faster: more power and less weight. I did the fiberglass front end, bumpers, doors, and decklid thing on my cutlass. Considering all the work and expense of buying, fitting, and smoothing fiberglass, it will be cheaper and easier to simply make more power. If I were to do it all over again, I would put the fiberglass money into the motor and keep the body steel. IMO you get a better return on your money that way. Also when you get tired of drag racing (it can become more like work than play, trust me), you will be able to return the truck to the street if you want to if you stick with steel. I'm aware that you can use fiberglass parts on the street, but IMO, unless you buy the heavy street quality stuff (defeating your original intent), it will crack and look like crap in short order.
