Does Anyone Know !!

I found out that my rear axle housing is slightly bent ( my left rear tire is pointed inward) and I need to replace it. Does anyone know which rear ends will fit a 72 coil spring longbox. Like would one from a 72 Chev car or station wagon have the same drum to drum length as my truck. I have line on a 75 Suburban with a 454 in it ( dont know if its a 1/2 or 3/4 ton yet) and and am wondering if anyone knows if the rear end from that would bolt into my truck.

Your big problem is going to be trailing arm mounts.

So I Need !!

Hi Gloryhound.. So from your comment about trailing arm connectors I should find a rear end from a 67/72 with the trailing arm mounts.

Well you can weld your origional onto a new axle if you or someone you know is a welder of any skill level. The fastest is to find one from a 67-72 with the mounts there. I think it was Burnsman who was selling one.

rear

I have a few. Shipping could be a pain though. I'd scout the local yards for a rear. If's yours is a 72 (I'm assuming 5 lug), I'd shoot for the 71/72 rear, as they had 5 lug. You could also update to a newer rear and weld the mounts on it (as Gloryhound said). I've done that before too.
