Opinion on price of 72 blazer buckets & console

I can pick them up for 150. the seats need to be reupholstered and some foam replacement ,the console shows normal wear.

These are off a Blazer and I believe the brackets are lower than the one's for the trucks .
Does anyone know how much lower , if I get them I will use a spacer to raise them to stock truck height .

Your thoughts. ??

Bill

Look at it this way---to recover seats----seat covers will cost anywhere from $185. to $300. depending on supplier. Will probably need to repaint console as well = $ 5. If you do the rebuild of the seats, plan on several hours per seat as well as another $10-20. for foam, spray glue, new hog rings, etc. I just rebuilt a pair of seats and it took me about 4-5 hours each seat as they were badly worn. Of course trying to find original buckets that don't need to be recovered/refoam'd for under $400. is about impossible. If you buy them and have them professionally rebuilt---well that could get real expensive. So, if you want the orginal look but not "as built on your build sheet", go for it. If you really want buckets and comfort, you might consider getting a seat asm from a newer truck with a 60/40 seat and built in console as they are much more comfortable. jmo---Huck

Thanks ; guy's I always have planned to get a later model bench with a console, just happened to run across these and they got me thinking .
There is still the issue with the Blazer brackets being lower than the truck.

Thanks Bill

Id be happy to pay $150.I have 3 Extra sets now and several consoles.people offer $300-400 for them but i wont sell,i bought a set from a Blazer only difference was passanger seat folds foward,i put on some extra truck brackets i had, pass side are just stamped steel fixed brackets, you could probably bolt on a set of bench brackets,i know hole widths are the same for bolts on seat.a restored(painted)and cracks fixed console goes for $100-$150,seats when 4 sale needing lots of work are $250,or just buy a set of 73 Blazer seats real common, and make seat brackets.
