I have a lWB trailer and hate it. It has coil springs and even with new shocks, it jumps all over the road. If you build one, go for leaf spring setup!!

I have a short trailer, already inspected & titled (CA I think). It was running a short fleet bed, so it is a bolt on. The bed is gone. Sell Cheap.

My dad made a trailer out of his old 69 coil spring lwb. He had the same problem, trailer was jumping all over the place. What he did was add about 200 lbs of plate steel on top of the tongue to weight the nose down...

I'll have to see if my buddy still has it. We sold it a few years ago...

I have made a few p/u bed trailers. The coil ones are a bit squirmy and rock when loading. If its on the frame cut it under the cab so you will have enough to work with, take a piece of pipe that will fit your hitch and notch the frame and bend in for braces, make it at least 6' from the bed, a short tongue will make it squirmy going down the road and hard to back up.
