Spark plug is ugly!!
I have been having trouble with my truck running right here lately, no low end power. I pulled some of the plugs and got to #7 on my 350 and it was totaly black and had a chunky build up on it. Way to rich I'm assuming. Any ideas?

Sounds more like a bad valve or valve stem seal, the valves(burnt or bent) are not allowing compression to burn or the plug wire/cap is bad. I think if it was a plug wire the plug would be wet and oily but no chunks.

Two quick checks would be to do a compression test on the engine, if thats good (all relatively even pressures) then just replace the plug wire and check it later for color.
