5 lug pattern plate?
I have a six lug axle and I was wanting to weld and redrill the shafts to a five lug. I was told you can buy a five lug pattern plate to set on top old the shaft and redrill the studs and I was wondering where you can find these at or if you can even find them at all. has anyone done this.

Since your switching to 5 lug from 6 lug, I am assuming you have 5 lug brake drums ready to make the switch. Just knock out the 6 wheel studs and stand the axle on end and place the 5 lug brake drum over the axle and spray paint or mark the holes of the 5 lug pattern.

You have to have the axle hub turned down to the 5 lug hub size. The six lug axle hubs are considerably larger than the 5 lug. The easiest thing to do is swap axles, IMO. Later, Mark
