How well will this work

It's time to start my sons truck ,( He's 11 now ) We're taking her down to the frame & starting over. What we've got is a 72 4X4 & this is what were thinking of using , 1988 - 350 TBI
1987 700R4
33"- 34" Tires
4.10 Gears
will set up work well for a everyday driver ,or will somthing work better? Thank's

Sounds pretty good to me. The TBI is pretty reliable and simple

Fine combo. Low highway rpms with the OD trans, even with 4.11 gears. Do some searches on "700r4" to get info on adapting that tranny to the NP205 transfer case.
Maybe someone will chime in on that if you need the info.

Sounds like a good Father Son Project. I hope to do the same some day, but the way my projects go I will have to start when my boy is 3.

Sounds like a good combo!

Glad to see another young guy interested in trucks!

Have you considered a NV4500 - NP241 combo? Give you the stick tranny with overdrive, and a very tough case (take a LOT of horsepower, just don't physically hit the case on anything, the aluminum housings break fairly easy)
