Wanted - Speed warning buzzer and harness
I bought a speed warning dash that came complete with buzzer and harness. Well...it got here today and it doens't have the buzzer or the harness. The seller was not familiar with the speed warning components, oh well.
Anyway, does anyone have the buzzer and harness or know where I can get them? Thanks! Shawn

I just bought one too, my seller is the same way, I've asked for them but who knows if I'll get them.

The speedwarning harness is available as a repo. I just checked Chevy Duty and they have them in stock for about $15. The buzzer is harder to come buy. I got mine off Ebay. Just do a search for speedwarning or speed warning. I believe any of the buzzers should work off of a GM product.

Good luck on finding one it took me four months before I found one for my dash and as far as any GM buzzer working that is not correct. If you get a factory harness for a 67-72 truck then you will have to get a buzzer with the same prong set up as the harness, there may be some GM buzzers that are the same but I have seen some Buicks and Pontiacs that were different. ( GOOD LUCK)

Buzzers
I use a Buick buzzer(late 60's to late 70's) from cars that had speed alert. They are quite common in this area - Buick dealers really pushed this option. The horn relay and buzzer are combined into one unit. Mounts just like the truck horn relay and you don't have to drill another hole in the firewall. The horn part follows the same schematic as the truck with the added terminal for the buzzer. The number on the relay/buzzer is 879 12V.
Hopes this helps. It is not 100% correct if you are doing a restoration but it has gotten me by for 10 years in my 67.
