Gas smell on heavy acceleration

Hey guys, I've always noticed that when I really get on the throttle that when I let off, I get a gas smell in the cab. When the truck is at idle and has the air filter off and you throttle it up, there is a light mist of what I assume is gas. what causes this and how do you fix it

Don't stomp the pedal into the floor boards and it should fix you right up!

Maybe your tank vent is messed up and when you get on it hard the sloshing pushes out the fumes before they vent.

Either that or the anchoive pizza you had for lunch.
