accelerator pedal
Can anyone post a picture of the accelerator assembly (rod and connection to pedal)? My new 68 truck came without one and I'm not sure exactly what parts to look for.
TIA Richard

LMC sells the pedal. It sets over some small ball head studs on the floor and simply pushes on the rod hanging dow . When I purchased my truck and asked about the missing pedal, the PO said " I use my foot, it works perfect!" which it realy does, but the pedal sure looks better!

You are so right. I thought that I wasn't going to be able to drive it, but does work fine. I couldn't find one in the LMC catalog, only the replacement pad, I will look harder when I get home.
Thanks Richard

This is what I pulled off of my 70 model. If you need better photos I can take more.

Mine never had a pedal, but I don't believe it connects to the rod, just kinda leans up against it.

I agree with krue, the pedal just leans against the rod. LMC sells the pad and that is it, that's what ya want and what ya need to complete the assembly here.. The pad= the pedal from LMC. It has the 2 spots in the bottom for the ball studs. I guess wd-40 might help the pedal slip onto the balls. I haven't tried mine yet since I am working on other major parts of the truck at this time.

The pedal snaps onto the ball studs. I just positioned mine over the balls and pressed it down with the heal of my foot...hard...and POP...it went on.
