newer bench seat install faq

Hi guys,

I'm looking at getting a 98 silverado bench seat for my truck and was wondering what hang ups or advice you can give for installing these. I know there is a couple of you that have done this and have done posts about it, but since we are without SEARCH for the moment, it would be better if we have it all in one area.

What year make and model is your bench seat out of?
How easy/hard is it to install?
What tools will you need to get it in?

Pics are very much appreciated.

I think this should be made into a FAQ.

TIA,
Jay

I got no pics. But a couple buddies recently installed '90s seats in their trucks. Drillled a couple holes and I think one shimmed up the differnce between the floor & the brackets. Looks slick, very comfortable and the seat belts are built right into the seats I believe. You want to back the bolts up with either a Huge washer or something so if the worst happens you belted to the seat doesn't rip through the floor and eject through the windshield fighter jet style. I'm sure others will have better replies, but someones gotta be first to respond... Good luck.
