59 GMC 100 Speedometer
it bounces around when I decelerate. what causes that and should i replace the speedometer? what are my options?

Try replacing the cable....it could be the speedometer itself tho. The one in my grandpa's 59 chevy bounces around whenever he hits a bump. And in cold weather he has to bump the dash with his fist to get it to move. (needs oiled up)

Remove th cable and soak it in K-1 Kerosine or brake cleaner. Then lightly oil it and re-install it. My 2-cents worth. rico_bob
