Cab issues Repair or Replace - 72 Cab FS FL/GA??
I had a highly recommended body guy come over and take a look at my cab. He said it's repairable but I'd be looking at aleast 50-60 hours of labor and can't guarantee that it'll stop there. There's quiet a bit of bondo up both rear cab sidewalls, the cab corners and rocker panels need to replaced as well as approx 3 inches of flooring on each side. The roof top is pretty rusty, though we won't know how rusty until the sanding starts. Both doors are rusted out bad enough that it'd be easier to replace than to repair. I mentioned just replacing the cab, and he said in all honesty that's prob the route he'd take. He even offered to help me set the cab off the truck at his shop an teach me to do some of the work, but he said the work it needs is beyound beginner work.
On that note: Anyone have a 72 AC cab in FL or GA for sale? Cheers, Jim

I have a customers 72 Cheyenne cab with doors that has been Alkiline dipped at Wachula and all PPG products used on it, it had 1 dented rocker on it that we sectioned in, the only bondo is on that rocker and is less than a 1/16 skim coat to cover the weld. All seams have been resealed. I have digital pictures of before during and after. It is an a/c cab with headliner slots. It is totally stripped of all parts except the original door hinges and doors. Other parts for this truck include a swb rolling certified (checked on a Genesis frame machine) gloss black/powder coated frame rebuilt with MOOG parts, 2 1/2 Western drop spindles, 3 inch Eibach rear coils, adj track arm Doetch tech shocks with a posi rear. Rebuilt truck tilt column, 71-2 bucket seats and console with new foam and black scroll covers. an original 67 swb fleetside bed no rust or dents ready for paint. New 67 cowl hood, inner and outer fenders and core support. Excellent 67 grill, New custom made aluminum 21 gallon under bed tank with LS-1 pump in tank. all wiring and a/c cab parts. I have no prices on each part or parts ( sorry i know the rules) but do have his toll free phone number to get in touch with, He would like to sell the whole package for 7000.00 but would part out if enough interested buyers. Email me at motrucker@prodigy.net with any questions. Last years hurricanes and his daughters college tuition forces him to abandon the project.

Patrs
Jim,
I have some really good cabs and doors, '72 stuff. They are stored in central Florida and I have a trailer. We can discuss the prices over the phone. Glad to help...
