AC Compressor
Does any one know if there is a rebuild kit for auto ac compressors? My 87 GMC compressor is getting really noisy and starting to cool poorly. I am not sure if I want to spend the 190.00 for a brand new one.

There are clutch kits for them but they can cost nearly as much the whole compressor. I'd just go for a cheap $120 re-man compressor. I havent seen any issues (manufacturing defects) with the cheap parts store re-mans after all there rebuilt by the same place that made the OEM unit for your truck.

As cheap as $105 for a reman compressor, I have one on my truck that has been working great for years. (Mine is also converterd to R-134a)

I just put one on my 1985 Blazer from Advanced Auto for around $100. Works great so far.
