New gas guage

Just got my Dolphin guages today. They look great. I was looking at the gas sending unit and I don't think that I am going to be able to use it. The flange is different and it is designed to mount to a horizontal surface. Our trucks have a angle to the flange mount. I believe that I saw on the board the ohm values used for the different years for the sending unit. It seems that if I matched the resistance value by adding the right resistor that I could use the orignial unit. Any help on this would be great. Thanks, Steve

Just check the ohms of both units at full and empty-might be close enough.
