Jammed Ignition Switch
Last night I had the key turned backwards listening to the stereo. When I was done, I turned the key forward to start it and move the Burb. The switch jammed after I moved it forward. The switch is in the off position. It will not move at all. To start it, I moved the HEI power wire to a constant hot lead on the fuse panel and jumped the starter. Is the battery still getting charged this way?? And does anybody know how to "unjam" the switch??

Id try to wiggle it with a little WD40 first. It might have came part way out when it was turned to the left (to get it out you turn it left with a paperclip in the hole)

Well I got it "unjammed". It wasn't hard to do. I just didn't have time to mess with it in the morning before work. A little tap with a small hammer seemed to work. Thanks for the replies. Which vendor sold the key sets for Burbs (3 doors + panel doors)???
