s10 lifts?

i have a 84 s10 blazer, which is my daily drivin beater.

i like to mess aroud off road a little with it, but nothing crazy, just when im out with buddys and thers nothing else to do.

anyway, is it possible to lift them by cranking the torison bars in the front? i figure i could put 2" blocks in the rear and if i could get 2" out of the torison bars i could do a cheap and easy lift??? might not even need to mess with th driveshafts???

anyone ever try this?

for that little of lift and not really wanting to mess with drive shafts and stuff your just better off doing a 2-3" body lift.

O and ill throw in a little tech to bettewr suit your juge ment.

cranking up the torsions suck becus when you do that you dont get any droop travel. so it rides like a brick.

and you cant just throw on blocks in the rear unless your lowing your truck. you will either need to do a shackle lift of a flip kit to the leaf springs.

It won't do anything but make it ride terribly stiff. Which is not only rough on you.........but it tears up the truck too. The suspension cannot absorb the bumps when it is too stiff, so everything else takes the hit, including the body (twist) and even the glass, not to mention ball-joints and even the bars themselves (from being twisted too tight)
Even the body-lift doesn't gain much for tire size.......and that is the point of lifting for off-road use. You really don't gain anything unless you go to a bigger tire and since you are talking "cheap", I'm assuming the you aren't buying new tires either.

Buy yourself a cheap used ATV, then if you tear up something you haven't hurt your daily driver
