removing wiper arms for cowl removal

can somebody give me a tip on how to get the wiper arms off. I need to remove the cowl to get the fenders off and I don't want to bend or break anything.

Thanks

pull up on the arm to the full extend and it then exposes the spring clips that you push with a screwdriver ro something and they will pull right off as your pushing on the clip that holds it in. i'm striving for instructions that are as clear as mud.

There is a little clip that you have to push in, but be careful and not lose it.

They sell wiper removal tools that keep you from chipping the paint on your cowl with a screwdriver, but I have never tried one. You should be able to get one at your local parts store. They sell different types.

I lay a towel on the cowl and use a small claw hammer to pry them off by just catching the lip, 2 seconds it's off.

I have that tool, and although I've only used it five times in ten years it was well worth the $9.95 I paid for it.
