Haha speaking of Lone Oak I think he has a baby uh sister selling now:

Her descriptions sound a little too similar... and her feedback is also resembling everyone's friend from Lone Oak as well.

I have one in my truck, I found it to be a real PITA to keep clean, however, I taped off the edge all around the door and then painted the center black. It ballances out the dash quite well. (looks like the inst panel) I'd love to get my hands on an ash tray and radio delete plate that are both chromed so i could do the same thing to them.

Did you sand before painting the chrome? I have`all 3 items chromed and I was thinking about the same deal as you except I was going to use a rough finish black to better match the gauge bezel.

I have an ashtray from "that guy" in Lone Oak, the front looks real good, the ashtray itself well it's just an old ashtray chromed I'm not 100% convinced they even washed all the ashes out first, but the front DOES look good, as long as it stays closed...

You can trust buying anything from ****************. They are a good bunch of folks. Used to be on the board until they had a problem with the board owner.

<edit> I didn't put the little stars in, I guess Josh programmed the board to automaticly do that for the name that has Ricks and pickup and parts in it.

No, Actually, i sand blasted it. I covered the edge with duct tape and tossed it in the sand blaster. Fogged a light coat or primer on it and sprayed the gloss black.
I should have scuffed it a bit after the sand blasting, I have a couple chips in it already, and it's only been driven 108 miles since I got it. (then again, the cab is a storage area when it isn't being driven)

Thanks for the tip! Also thanks for sharing the idea! The way GM should have done it.
