open oil dipstick hole
I just noticed that the previous owner had relocated the oil dipstick for clearance reasons, the original opening in the pan was just left open. I plugged it with a little silicone plug. Is that ok? Or is it fine just to leave it open as it was?

I guess it depends on how much dirt you want in your oil pan. Its a small hole but I would plug it.

As long as your plug stays there, it'll be OK. The PO may have placed a plug in there and exsesive cranc case pressure could have popped it out. But most likley, he was just lazy.
