just got back from Mi with a new toy.
i think i'm gonna use it in my 71. i wanted to put it in my 85 since it will be done in 2 months time, but i can't see any sense in taking out the perfectly good 4.3 that is in it. it is a 454 .40 over with crane 272 cam, 781 heads with 3 angle valve job and a new edel intake.
i wanted to say thanks to Matt (BigDaddyCMU) for the great deal, it was worth the drive.

Very nice
Aren't you guys leary lugging around engines by the carb mounts? I still prefer the good ole' hooks in the intake bolts myself |

thanks Craig, i'll be coming your way in a couple of weeks.
67 i've pulled at least a dozen engines around with these and they really are great. i double up a couple washers on it because i get leary about all of that weight, but no issues so far. thanks Jet, i like the all black look and the valve covers.

Yep I will be gettin me one of those at the next swap meet. Carb mount hoist connector, that is! Nothing looks as good as a cleaned up BBC.
